The Ride to Conquer
Since 2012, John Vani has supported the Ride to Conquer Cancer as both a participant and fundraiser. In 2012, John raised the highest individual donation total for the year.
With Bridgewater matching all donations, $40,000 was raised for the cause.
The Ride has remained an ongoing way for the Vani family and Bridgewater Tile to support loved ones who have battled cancer.
Team Jack of Hearts (JDRF)
The Vani family’s godson, Jack Stuart, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of five. The family formed Team Jack of Hearts in 2007 to participate in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) national fundraising walk, held every June.
Team Jack of Hearts has since raised more than $500,000 for diabetes research across thirteen years of participation.
Harmony Arts Festival
Bridgewater Tile sponsors the Harmony Arts Festival’s Readings in the Park program, a week-long event that celebrates local arts through concerts, plays, displays, and live readings.
The festival supports the West Vancouver community where many of the company’s long-standing developer and custom-home-builder relationships are based.
Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB)
Bridgewater Tile has been a member of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business since 1980.
CFIB represents over 110,000 Canadian businesses and advocates for small and medium-sized enterprises through non-partisan policy engagement.
Canadian Cancer Society
For more than seventeen years, the Vani family has supported the Canadian Cancer Society through fundraising and donations.
Terrazzo, Tile and Marble Association of Canada (TTMAC)
Bridgewater Tile has been a Silver Sponsorship Member of the Terrazzo Tile and Marble Association of Canada since 1990.
John Vani served as secretary of the association for several years before being elected to serve four years as President and two years as Past President.
